Again another great race yesterday.
Suzuka and Austin I tried more aggressive setup, to have more speed in Q. Car was very fast, but with tyre wear during the race it was quite tricky to drive. In Suzuka and Austin I did 2 spuns in same kind of corners (long corners with traction). Obvious it was the wrong way to go.
So here I decided a more conservative setup, and it's works. Overall car was quite good.
Q P2, and R1.
Race was an authentic battle between myself and Javibeza, we had very similar pace, but he was faster in S1 and S3 I was in S2.
Race start, I did a great start, but Bugi and Unai was quite aggressive in T1, tbh I don't know how I don't had massive damage. I don't understand why need to be so aggressive in T1, but it's ok, it that I dropped to P5 behind Valdemar.
In Lap 4 I overtook Valdemar, Unai and Bugi was fighting for P2, in 2 laps I close the gap and attack Unai and in lap 12 finally i overtook Bugi.
I was 5.055 behind Javi. I tried everything to close the gap, before pits (lap 18) I only won 0.600. I decided to stay one more lap, to tried a undercut in 2 stint.
It's worked, when Javi rejoin from 2 pits stop I was 1.176 behind. After that I was 11 laps attacking him. He did a little mistake in T3 and It was enough to overtook.
So race win! The 7 win of the season.
No doubt I'm much stronger in the 2nd part of the season. Until SPA (11 races) I did 160 points. After SPA (8 races) 169 points.
Still 37 points behind, need to gain 9.25 points in 4 races, quite impossible
Shame we had only 11 drivers in this race, but in these kind of league it's normal. Season is long, people are tired.
Now Brasil, one of my favorite tracks
I appeal again, for a shorter 2022 schedule without triple rounds. Don't make any sense. This is a hobbie not a job. Like Rigodon said in another thread we don't received nothing for this.
