Re: Comentarios GP De Austria 2025
Although I had to retire with a blown engine, it was excellent.
The setup was really fun to drive and it's one of my favorite tracks I love those last two corners, T9 (Rindt) and T10.
In qualifying, my lap was brutal, I felt I was right on the limit the last corner was crazy, I don’t even know how I didn’t completely wreck the car. Mega save!!
In the race, I chose to save the rear tires and push more on the fronts. In the last laps of the stint, it was already impossible to turn.
But my plan was a one-stop strategy, and in stint 2 even while managing the hards a bit, I was catching up to Pakesepa. I think with 3 or 4 more laps I’d be in DRS range, but I don’t know if I would’ve been able to pass on track clearly I had more wing.
But the engine had other ideas and ended up blowing on lap 28. That’s racing.
It’s been a very challenging season with lots of problems but also some fun.
I already had issues with the wheel (the boost button only worked sometimes), then the pedals, and in the last two races some mistakes — in Canada and yesterday it wasn’t really my fault. That’s how it goes.
Now we move on to Silverstone. I still have the goal of finishing the championship in the top 5.

Re: Comentarios GP De Austria 2025
The pace that I had was surprisingly good, considering that I had no practice at all right before the start of the server. Half an hour before that, I had to do 15 more laps to cover the minimum requirements to qualify. This is not the first weekend when I did much better without testing in comparison to other weekends with 100 to 200 laps of testing, which is very interesting. I just took the setup from last year and did a few minor changes to suit this year's car changes, and that was it.
I think what also worked well for me was the strategy, one stop Mediums -> Soft. Because I didn't test any tyre degradation, I decided to start with the Medium compound and depending on what happens after the first 20 laps will then decide on the go. Although few fights with a few other drivers in the first stint, I did really well with the tyre management. This was an indication that I could go for the Soft compound for the rest of the race and should have been ok to do 20 laps with good pace, and so it was.
For some reason, Hard compounds don't work well for me; I'm way too slow with them in comparison to the rest.
Looking forward to Silverstone and again not much time to practice
